Abstract
The Journal of Advances in Medical Education and Professionalism (JAMP) is celebrating its 14th anniversary now. In this journal, we propose several steps to dissociate the appraisal of a paper’s quality and impact from the decision to publish, including rigorous peer review to ensure that high-quality articles in medical education are published. With a highly enthusiastic editorial team, expert reviewers, and enthusiastic authors, new ideas certainly arise. Another step is prioritizing meaningful educational studies and evidence-based approaches. And the most important step is broadening citations and open access to attract submissions from the medical education community worldwide.
